The airport of Luxembourg City, in Luxembourg, is situated to the northeast of the city. The runway is directed at the southern part; the area surrounding the train station. It's located 6km away from the city. So, normally landing aircraft pass over at a height of around 2000ft (±600m). But on an early Sunday morning, when I was brushing my teeth at the hotel, my attention was drawn by an enormous aircraft noise. To my utter amazement this bird was flying far below the normal glide path of the ILS. Luckily my camera was within reach and I had barely time to focus and make this shot. Fortunately the aircraft made it safely to the airport, as all was normal when I arrived for my own inbound leg back.
